Peter Wiklund
Born 1967. Lives in Hägersten, Sweden. I started working with photography in a personal manner in 1990. By then I discovered the pinhole technique, and have since developed a multi-disciplinary technical tool box. I work as photographer and journalist, exhibiting pictures on a regular basis in group exhibitions in different countries. I am self-taught as a photographer.
On the Vanitas-series: For me, pinhole photography is a wonderful medium, since it is based in reality. The sceneries that I show have obviously existed once – since I have photographed them – but they have never been seen in this way, no one has ever been able to look at them like this. Not until now, when I have made pictures of them. These images are all self portraits.

Peter Wiklund
Urodzony w 1967. Mieszka w Hägersten, w Szwecji. Zacząłem pracować z fotografią autorską w 1990 roku. Wtedy odkryłem technikę otworkową i od tego czasu opracowałem wiele różnych sposobów jej tworzenia. Pracuję jako fotograf i dziennikarz, regularnie biorę udział w wystawach zbiorowych w różnych krajach. Jestem samoukiem.
O serii zdjęć Vanitas: Dla mnie fotografia otworkowa jest wspaniałym medium, ponieważ opiera się na rzeczywistości. Scenerie, które pokazuję istniały zanim je sfotografowałem, ale nigdy wcześniej nie były postrzegane w ten sposób. Dopiero teraz, kiedy zrobiłem im zdjęcia. Każde z tych zdjęć jest autoportretem.
